ABOUT BJUT
Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) was established in 1960, in the southeast industrial area of Beijing. It is a high-level multi-disciplinary research university providing programs in science, engineering, economics, management, literature, law, art and education, with engineering as a core focus.
In 1981, BJUT was approved as one of the first universities in China to confer Master’s Degrees. In 1985, BJUT was approved to confer Doctoral Degrees. In 1996, BJUT entered the list of key universities in the national “211 Project”. In 2017, BJUT officially entered the list of universities in the national “Double First-Class” Initiative. In 2022, 9 disciplines including Engineering, Materials Sciences, Chemist, Environment & Ecology, Computer Science, Biology & Biochemist, General Social Sciences, Physics and Geosciences entered Top 1% of the ESI Rankings, among which Engineering ranked Top 1‰.

6. Scholarship: 1. Chinese Government Scholarship (full scholarship);
2. Beijing Government Scholarship (tuition only)
7. Program Duration: 4 years (except the 5-year bachelor program in Architecture and Urban Planning)
Curriculum
The undergraduate program curriculum consists of general obligatory courses, academic obligatory courses, academic elective courses, practical training obligatory courses, practical training elective courses, general education elective courses and courses on Chinese culture, economy, society, laws, history and philosophy, etc.
General obligatory courses include An Overview on China, Chinese for Science & Technology, Comprehensive Chinese, Mathematics, Physics, Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra and Physical Education. Academic obligatory courses, academic elective courses, practical training obligatory courses and practical training elective courses and general education courses are carried out in accordance with program academic curriculum.
Eligibility
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, between the ages of 18 and 25, in good physical and mental health, and have attained a senior high school diploma.
2. Applicants should meet the conditions set by the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC.
3. Language requirement: new HSK-4 or above level. Applicants whose compulsory courses were taught in Chinese during secondary education (junior and senior high school) can be exempt from submitting HSK certificate.
* Note: Applicant who does not meet the Chinese language requirement should take a one-year Intensive Chinese Training Program offered by BJUT and can only proceed with the degree study after pass the language requirements. 4. Applicants should take part in interview and entrance examination. Interview will be conducted online and applicants will be informed about detailed information after passing our initial review. Entrance examination will include the following subjects:
(1) For Chinese language related programs, applicants should take test on Chinese language;
(2) For Economics, Science & Engineering programs, applicants should take exams on Chinese, Mathematics, or Physics/Chemistry (depending on targeted bachelor program).
