Q1: What is the application procedure for international Bachelor and Master programs of Beijing University of Technology?

(1) Applicants should apply and submit required documents online at bjut.17gz.org.

(2) Application fee is RMB 500yuan. Application will be processed upon a successful payment of the application fee.Application fee can only be paid through our online application system bjut.17gz.org. Cash payment is not accepted.

(3) Application deadline: May 30, 2020

(4) Hard copies of the documents are not required at application.

Q2：I cannot provide language certificate required due to cancellation and postponement of HSK tests or English tests during the epidemic. What should I do?

A2:

(1) For Chinese-taught program applicants

An entrance exam scheduled in late June will temporarily substitute HSK 4 or above tests. The exam includes Chinese, mathematics (for certain applicants), etc. Applicants for science, engineering and economic programs are also required to take a math exam.

(2)For English-taught program applicants

From April 2020, Cambridge English Certificate C1 or above will be recognized as one of the English language proof certificates by BJUT. Qualified applicants should provide Cambridge English Certificate C1 or above certificate taken within 2 years.

Q3: When will I know my application result and when will I receive the official admission letter?

A: Application results will be released in late June or early July. Admission package, includingAdmission Notice, Visa Application for Study in China(JW201/JW202) and other related documents will be sent via DHL to the applicants’ address as soon as the registration date of the University’s 2020 Autumn Semester is confirmed.

Q4: What scholarships can I apply?

A: Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS scholarship) is now open for Chinese-taught bachelor programs and all master program applicants.It is a partial scholarship covering tuition fee ONLY.

FULL scholarship is OPEN ONLY for PhD program applicants.

(1) For Chinese-taught bachelor program applicants, full tuition of the first academic year will be waived. Starting from the second academic year, students can continue to apply for scholarships based on their academic achievements and performance in the previous academic year.

(2)For master program applicants, full tuition of the first academic year will be waived. Starting from the second academic year, students can continue to apply for scholarships with full tuition upon successfully passing the scholarship annual review.

(3)CSC, CIS and other scholarship holders are not eligible to apply for BGS scholarship.
