There’s an old saying that claims, ‘Nothing could be more delicious than dumplings’. During the Spring Festival, Chinese people like to follow the auspicious custom of eating dumplings. For the purpose of experiencing Chinese culture and having a warmly Chinese Lunar New Year, CIE threw a Chinese dumpling party for all the international students remained in the dorm in the morning of the first day of the Year of the Rooster.

Under the teacher's guidance and demonstration, more than 60 foreign students began trying to make dumplings with great interests. Indulged in Chinese culture, students enjoyed the harmonious atmosphere like a family by encouraging each other to finish each meaningful dumpling.

The Dean of CIE, Prof. Wang Wei expressed his great wishes to all the present students. He said, “ we have always been dedicated to build up a cozy and comfortable study environment for each student to make them feel quite at home here.” Meanwhile, he wished everyone good health,wonderful academic results and a prosperous future.

Besides making dumplings, foreign students also took part in a series of activities organized by CIE, such as paper-cut, stick grilles, lanterns hanging. These activities may have helped foreign students to be more familiar with the Chinese culture, as well as bridging the cultural gaps of students from all over the world.
