Ø Introduction
The program aims to help students improve their ability to communicate in Chinese, and increase their understanding on Chinese history, culture and society by language teaching. Students are expected be high-quality application-oriented talents with skillful Chinese to serve the international community.
Ø Courses Module
l Basic Chinese courses (20-30 credits, compulsory and elective): Comprehensive Chinese, Listening, Oral Chinese, Chinese Writing and other courses in each semester.
l Academic Chinese courses (4-8 credits, elective): Students can choose Scientific Chinese or Basic Business courses according to their targeted undergraduate program.
l Basic courses (2-4 credits, elective): Students can choose basic mathematics or other courses according to their targeted undergraduate program.
l Chinese Culture courses (2-6 credits, elective): Students can choose from a variety of elective Chinese culture courses by their interests.
l Academic practice (2-6 credits, elective): combining both Chinese language practices with academic practices.
Ø Course and Arrangements
The courses are classified into four levels according to students' Chinese proficiency at the time of admission.
Level 1: aims to improve students' Chinese language proficiency from beginner’s level to HSK 3. Students can master basic knowledge and capability of Chinese language which lays foundation for future learning.
Level 2: aims to improve students' Chinese language proficiency from HSK 3 to HSK 4. Students can master intermediate level of knowledge and capability of Chinese language which lays foundation for higher level.
Level 3: aims to improve students' Chinese language proficiency from HSK 4 to HSK 5. Students can master advanced level of knowledge and capability of Chinese language which lays foundation for higher level.
Level 4: aims to improve students' Chinese language proficiency from HSK 5 to HSK 6. Students can master more advanced knowledge and capability Chinese language which lays foundation for higher level.

Ø Entry Requirements
1.Applicant must be a non-Chinese resident, holding a valid foreign passport or international identity certificate.
2.Applicant should be in good mental and physical condition.
3.Applicant should be over 18 years old and under 25 years old.
4.Applicant should have sufficient financial capability for studying and living in China.
